‘QUILTBAG’ stands for Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual, Asexual/Aromantic, and Gay. While the acronym doesn’t represent every gender identity or sexual orientation, it does include more than the more traditional ‘LGBT.’ In current popular culture, homosexual individuals often enjoy some representation, while other QUILTBAG individuals are severely underrepresented. The Outlook profiles three individuals whose sexual orientation and/or gender identity doesn’t fit the norm.
