Senior Olivia Di Santo:
What does Homecoming Court represent to you?
I think it represents that I am on the right path, that I’ve grown a lot, that I’ve made a difference at this school and I’ve made my mark on Aragon.
How did you feel when you found out you won?
I was honored to see that the student body and the faculty thought that I represented Aragon in a positive way.
Senior Francis Rouse:
How did you feel when you won?
I was really happy because that showed that [the interviewers] think that I contribute a lot. That just makes you want to keep doing more and contributing to the school.
What do you think about having an interview?
I think that this way it kind of involves the staff [and] lets them know who in our school is being out there and is trying their hardest.
Junior Isabella Abelgas:
Why do you think you were nominated?
I think I was nominated just because I have a lot of enthusiasm and spirit and love for my school. I was a cheerleader last year and I’m on dance team this year.
How was the interview?
I did not [think I said] anything that good, but I think the teachers [liked] that [I was] confident with [my] answers.
Junior Tiana Pereira:
How do you help Aragon?
In being in [Leadership], my main goal is that people can come together and [have] a high school experience they can remember.
Why do you think you were nominated?
[In] live announcements I was like, “hey, you guys should vote for me,” and I wasn’t completely serious, but that may have something to do with it.
Sophomore Rachel Bennett:
What does being homecoming court mean to you?
It’s to be a representative role model — someone involved with the school community. I’m involved with Red Cross club, improv club, and wind ensemble.
Do you have any special talents?
My dad is a pilot, so I’ve learned how to fly airplanes. I fly just for fun and can do some basic tricks.
Sophomore Taylin Nguyen:
What are you involved in at Aragon?
I love school spirit, encourage others to have school spirit, and I make sure that everyone feels included. I’m [also] a part of the cross country team and soccer team.
If you could be anyone, who would you be and why?
I would be a superhero because they get to save people and they have superpowers.
Freshman Maria Sell:
How are you involved at Aragon?
I’m part of Cinematix Club and I’m part of theater. I plan to be part of the play in the spring and I think I was the only one of the nominees to be part of theater, so that might have set me apart as well.
Also, I go to a lot of the rallies and sports games, and my dad works at Aragon, so I’ve been involved at Aragon for a long time.
Freshman Zoe Wilson:
How was the interview process?
It was actually very nerve-wracking. I was not expecting to do an interview, but I’m glad I did it because it really helped my confidence.
How are you involved with Aragon and the community?
I feel like I’m a well-rounded person. I like to do a variety of things here at Aragon, [such as] sports [and] I do Girl Scouts and National Charity League.
